Color Schemes
Color combinations are used and are important to everyday life. For example the Denver Broncos' colors are complimentary on their uniforms. Blue and orange are complimentary to each other because they are on opposite sides of the color wheel. Also when you mix colors different colors are created and different types of colors are created. For example Red + Yellow = Orange, Yellow + Blue = Green and Blue + Red = Purple. As you see when you mix two primary colors, a secondary color is created. Colors can also be tinted or shaded. Yes tinted and shaded are two different things. Tints are lightened colors that always begin with white and a little color is added until the color you want is reached. Shaded colors on the other hand are darkened colors where you always start with the color and add a little black until the color yo want is created. Along with warm and cool colors there are also neutral colors. While the left side of the chart are cool colors the right side are warm colors. between all of these colors are neutral colors Black white gray and sometimes brown are considered neutral colors. There are 3 types of color schemes each are different from the other. The different types are below and a website that is an example of 1.

Analogous: A website composed of colors adjacent to each other on the color wheel. http://www.nfl.com/
Complementary: A website composed of colors that are opposite of each other on the color wheel. http://www.blogger.com
Monochromatic: A website composed of shades an tints of 1 color. http://www.apple.com/startpage/

On The Cutting Edge

The RFP is being requested by a CEO of a large company. He has called a meeting in the zone so he could see many different ideas for websites. Our team will prove that we are the best qualified by writing a list of things that make up the perfect website. We will also make a design grid to prove we can do the job. The first step is for each member to summarize what he/she thinks a perfect web site is made up of. The design teams should not use words like cool, easy or fun because the director wants more descriptive words that would give him/her a better idea of what the website is like. The CEO wants a description in a design grid which is a chart filled with the description of your site that you will present to the CEO.

Shalonta Brown: The Content Manager (researches and writes content)
Brandon Lowe: The informaion archetect (Navigation)
Zach Jackson: The Graphics Designer (obtains images and designs graphics)
